From what I have read and watched with regards to 981 GT4 and the 718 version you now have better than maybe 90% of the latest iteration, for just about anybody out there it would be a real tough decision to give up the 981 GT4 for the 718 GT4, especially of money is a factor.

I believe the car is best driven on weekends away from traffic or on the track. In which case the buckets and MT gearing are not overly annoying. If you're considering not getting the buckets for daily drivability, Porsche made a car for that, it's the GTS.
718 base, T and S all have: Front - 4-piston 330 mm; Rear - 4 piston 299 mm. GTS has: Front - 6 piston 350 mm; Rear - 4 piston 330 mm. GT4/Spyder have: Front - 6 piston 380 mm; Rear - 4 piston 380 mm. Although I have to say that my former 981S, which had the same brake size used in the 718 base, T and S had plenty of stopping power.
