Thanks to all the wonderful posts, I think I’ve got our itinerary complete and am ready to start making bookings for a 19 day trip. It kills me to not visit Plitvice Lakes but because of my irrational fear of snakes, I think I’d be on edge the whole time. I realize I may encounter one anywhere but probably more so there.
