She shipped from Hoover’s as a vent sexed pullet (Prairie Bluebell) but at 6 weeks and 5 days old, her comb and wattles are much more red than her 5 sister’s nude colored, barely there combs. She is also much larger, the same size as a hen I incubator hatched a week earlier than her hatch date. Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers and all other cross bred chickens aren’t a breed since no 2 are consistent in color patterns or temperament. About half my flock are Easter Eggers or Sexlinks and while those of same name (prairie bluebell, olive egger, golden comet, red sexlink, etc.), they may look similar but temperaments aren’t.From my understanding the Prairie Bluebells can greatly vary in how they look, even the pics on Hoover's Hatchery of them have all kinds of different looks (Some of them look like Easter Eggers!).
