This video and response has seriously damaged the reputation of LMG/LTT, at least for me. Wrong numbers in a diagram are one thing but the whole Billet situation is a royal fuck up. I do not recognize an apology, even if all the claims Linus makes (that the product basically is a waste of money) that would still require an apology.It was about LMG's and Linus' ego and disregard for others that is the problem. How many times did Steve have to say that everybody makes mistakes, including GN? (and I don't even like him, lol) The whole thing started when LMG's engineer dropped GN and HU names when asked about what Labs is, reportedly, doing better than Youtube competitors.I hope he isn't surrounded by yes-men and can actually take some time and understand what Gamers Nexus said in their videos. his response is trying to manipulate this audience. we all know the real reason you didn't want to run the retest - you didn't want to spend another $500. Easy to read your older posts and see that you were defending LTT/LMG and trying to discredit …LMG fans are vociferous and any issue will make it to the internet. So far he has not had any controversies with LTTstore and wouldn't think he would risk tarnishing his reputation over the backpack. He has too much at stake. Linus needed to swallow his pride on the last WAN show and admit he was in the wrong.

Gamers Nexus released a weekly news video, as scheduled, on the 15th of August, but added a segment around Linus’ response to Gamers Nexus’ video and the situation as a whole. The Segment ate about 12 minutes of the start of the video but once again Steve remained professional in the delivery of criticism to the LMG.

This was Linus’ response to implied allegations by Max and Madison after they left LMG, written in a like way as Linus replied to GN now. To me, if you read the that statement and then yesterday’s statement together, it is just the same playbook, which, to me, means it is likely true. Similarly, pointing out Gamers Nexus' interlacing of objective data and subjective commentary does not take away from the egregious issues that the data shows. It is simultaneously pointing out that Gamers Nexus has room to improve as well if investigative journalism is something they want to continue doing.

Sadly, the main one I've found worth a damn is Gamers Nexus. 6 months ago, I was about a decade out of date. I then spent 3-4 months watching GN content, and caught myself up completely; using that information to build a high cost/performance ratio PC with full awareness of what I was giving up for each piece I selected.

GN's video isn't an attack, it's a flashlight on some of LMG's recent practices that have dubious ethical standings that need to be addressed.

Billet Labs sent LMG both a 3090 Ti (the card that their product was intended to be used with) and their own product (a monoblock to cool it). LMG proceeds to shoot a video in which they have already been told it's intended to work on a 3090 Ti. But they can't be bothered to get a 3090 Ti, so they just pluck a 4090 and put it on that.
