I had some issues too with my 2023 outback eyesight camera not active, just notice twice already on start up without any obstruction no ice, snow or anything. After about 5 mins driving ,it enables eyesight camera. Most common causes are obstructed view (ie dirt/snow/fog obstructing the camera's view), low voltage at start-up (IIRC 10V is the threshold), or too cold to operate (common in <0* F temps). In your owner manual packet, there is a dedicated Eyesight manual that does a better job explaining the system limitations.On the Subaru, the implementation of the adaptive cruise control is awesome, the best I've seen; I haven't got a chance to test the collision avoidance yet but on Toyota I got a couple of instances where it would get confused in a turn, but this tech improves really quickly.
