Actually, I would probably recomend a Leek in Sandvik, or if you are willing to spend a bit more for an even better steel, in Sandvik 13C26/CPM-D2 composite steel or S30V. I have both a Sandvik Zing, and Leeks in all three steels I just mentioned and I like the size, construction and ergos of the Leek better than the Zing. :thumbup:

Kershaw Leek closed lock failure. I ordered a Kershaw Leek Composite a couple months ago and I love it. But in the last two weeks on problem as arisen. The lock that holds the blade shut while in pocket failed once, and then actually broke the second time, on both occasions taking a good chunk out of my pinky. Lock pictured here .Very nice! It kinda looks like the knife from fallout with that finish. I have the composite with D2 w/o copper line and it holds an decent edge but does tend to chip. It would be awesome if Kershaw brought back a G-10 version with S30V. Why discontinue like arguably the best functional version of the model leek knife.
