I found the Kaplan P/S review book to be bad because it was missing a lot of information on topics that the MCAT covers. I remember using that book and taking FLs and getting a lot of questions wrong on the P/S section because of content gaps that I never saw on the Kaplan book. I'm retaking my exam and I'm using the 100 page KA document ...Do y’all think that studying the Khan Academy 300 page P/S document will be enough to get a good score for the P/S section? I got a 132 by only doing the 86pg doc and a condensed ~50ish page doc + Uworld (did all the psych questions within a week or three of the exam) plus hardcore heavy crammed anki just for that section ...I watched all of the KA P/S vids and read the 300 page doc along with it. The 300 page doc is more like a transcript of the videos but there are a lot of additional info not from the videos so it's worth at least skimming along to find which info aren't on the video. For CARS, I've been using Jack Westin (JW). This is a continuing struggle for me.

Goodluck!! For "CARS 2.0 type" tests (the way AAMC FL4 P/S is written) you're right: the 300 pg doc is definitely overkill. But on other 'types' of P/S tests (e.g. FL1-3), the obscure terms might help you grab free points here and there. The 300 page doc is literally everything that could be tested on the mcat for psych/soc. It is just more time efficient to go through that doc because you wont be wasting your time. I recommend just going through the shorter version of the doc and anything you need clarification on watch the associated KA video.

The 300 pg document has everything Kaplan has but more required things you have to know. Kaplan P/S leaves out important information. My best bet is to just read the 300 pg document. I have never taken a single psych-soc in my life (still haven't) and started out studying with Kaplan psych-soc. Found that minimally useful, but once I switched over to the 300 page Khan doc my FL scores for the section skyrocketed.

Kaplan has purchasable question packs which are these like 200 question practice sections for each MCAT subject. Very helpful for practice Reply ...
