Does anyone else have problems with the JK running hot in this wicked summer weather (96 and high-humidity here in North Carolina). I have been running the a/c some and the Jeep (in town) starts to run really hot - in the 3/4 range on the gauge and just above. May 17, 2015 · The engine has been running this high for 3 years now. There's no mass accounts of overheating penastars in the JK. I think people are trying to find a issue where it does not exist. If it was a aluminum block and iron heads I could see a issue. Since they're the same material they should in theory expand all at the same rates ect.

But like you, normal temps for my 3.6 is just slightly above the 1/4 line.
