The bosses were just not drilled through into the exhaust ports. I made the parts person at my local Ford place look these up on the computerized microfiche. There are three (3) choices for SMOG pump delete: Keep original belt and pulleys. Gut the insides of the smog pump, have it rotate like an idler pulley. Get a smaller belt, bypass the smog pump.
