I decided I would try to farm for one of the elusive Enclave Flamers now that they can be made legendary, and as luck would have it, after about 4 hours of serving hopping and events last night, I was able to get one. My first legendary roll made it a vamp/50% vats HIT/ 50% slower break.

Plasmas have a 50/50 energy and ballistic dam, so there's few to no enemies that resist them. They hold 300 rounds (400 on quad), so reloading mid combat is rare. So all in all they're pretty versatile and among the highest dps weapons in the game.

I’ve seen true flamer barrels drop on rifles but have only ever seen the aligned flamer in a box mod. Good news is, that’s the one you want. As it was stated by others, only install it on a frame that has a stabilized stock and reflex sight. Congrats on the find and good luck rolling legendaries!
