Tradestation vs ninjatrader.
I have been using Tradestation from the past 3.5 years and recently got the opportunity to use the Ninjatrader platform so I have been in touch with both of these platforms . So I will be comparing tradestation vs ninjaTrader and then from my experience i will be telling you guys which platform is better .
Tradestation has overgrown into a heavy software program that does the same thing it did ten years ago, excellent charting and horrible order execution. Originally this was a tool from Tradepoint Technologies which may have been a bit overly salesly but someone made one for Ninja Trader. The charting packages are both free to try. I've tried amp and ninjatrader trials, but I think amp and Sierra combo is the best. Ninjatrader takes a while to start up and load charts, versus Sierra which takes a few seconds only. Customization in sierra is also amazing. It is very capable, almost 0 crashes, very low memory and very fast. The only 2nd tool/platform (which is actually on par with Sierra) is Tradestation. Well what makes you want to switch? Truthfully, the indicator called Pace of Tape. There is a working version on Ninjatrader. Sierrachart can't handle it.
