You should get 12v on gray wire when key is turned to first position, start-ignition position, and choke position, although with EFI system (no carbs) the computer automatically does the choke function, pressing the key switch doesn't do anything (no choke solenoid). With that wire disconnected from the power-pack, connect one lead of the ohm meter to the end leading from the ignition switch with the other lead of the meter to any power-head ground. You can hot wire the ignition, jumper from the battery positive terminal to the + terminal of the coil.
I had to hand winch it onto the trailer and it is now "stuck" in the no power to switches, non running mode. I have to tell you that this motor was a transplant from a previous 90 hp yamaha that was originally on the boat. The controls are still yamaha controls but I have the ignition, gauges, and kill switch from the suzuki.
