I use kusiragama with a lot of magic buffs and thunder shot. My three main stats are: i have been trying to use the split staff but cannot get a hang of it. Kind of weak and slow. I always say spear is a great 2nd weapon. It does good damage and has a lot range, especially using twisting spear.Recommend to try out this combo. Probably Kusa and Glaive for the +1 to Dex and Magic. Tonfa + spear, although I plan to mostly use tonfa and will probably switch to just tonfa at some point during the game. Spear has some good synergy with tonfa in terms of each covering the moveset weaknesses of the other.

Odachi for everything. Hatchets are a strong competitor for new favorite weapon, in nioh 1 kusarigama was my fave. Hatchets are just so versatile, you got your ranged attacks, aoe attacks, poise breakers, combo breakers etc. Tonfa is pretty good for me at the moment.
