No sense in going 11.5 in MLC upper. I skidded 11.5 with LMT. 12.5" is a midlength gas system and obviously 1" longer barrel length than the 11.5" which is a carbine length gas system. Recoil perception can be tuned and has more to do with what buffer system you have matched to your gas system.

The LMT is so much easier on the wallet and the fit and function of LMT rifles are outstanding. KAC and Noveske are both well built rifles but I question the price tag. I didn't see one as being better than the other in the accuracy department. The gen1 piston barrels cycled cheap, low pressure stuff better than the gen2 in my experience. The gen2 struggles to be gassed enough to run reliably suppressed with a Rugged Razor 7.62. It is a single shot unsuppressed.
