I replaced the valve core ($1.77) got a valve core removal tool ($12.32) at napa. Took about 3 minutes. Refilled the system with two 12oz cans of freon ($13) from Wally World. Ac is cold, hissing stopped, and leak is gone. I made a quick video showing the high and low side ports and the valve core replacement. Hope this helps.
