Full Forum ...The '02 is difficult to tell apart from the '00-'01 models. If stock, the swingarm, wheels, and upper cowl brace are the easiest way. The SP2 swingarm is a different design, the SP2 wheels are 5-spoke vs. 6-spoke, and the SP2 upper cowl brace is aluminum vs. steel. Of course the '03 and up are easy to distinguish. …1. SP1 has one large fan on the left, SP2 has two small fans - one on each side. 2. SP1 has natural airflow thru the right radiator, SP2 has a fan blocking most of that airflow. 3. Pull the bleeder screw out, put your thumb over the hole in the caliper. Use your other two thumbs (and fingers) and put a couple of wraps around the threads. Adjust the actual sliders using the bolt on the end of the adjuster so the 2 holes in the adjuster are about even. 6. Slide your axle through. 6. The RC51 is no match to today's litre bikes. Power-wise it's more akin to today's 600's (although with more torque). After all the, RC51 is stuck in 2002 while the rest continued their relentless advancement. I'm guessing if Honda stuck with the RC51, it would be right up there with the 1098/1198 or RC8/RC8R. But unfortunately, that didn't happen.

This includes using just bar end weights and people have tried and used them. For street with a v twin, I like a clip-on including oem internal and bar end weights. The 530 is the same pitch as the 520 or 525, but is wider and spreads the force across a wider sprocket area. Now for racing, sure, go with a 520 or 525 as the chain is lighter in weight.
