Per the manual, normal hot oil pressure is 10 psi idle and 40-70 psi @ 2200 rpm. Is "normal driving" is below that... I suggest you get her good and hot then in neutral rev it to 2200 and read the pressure. That's how the manual says to do it. Turning up the fuel really requires not special tools at all. Just remove the cover on the IP gear housing and get the dowel at 12 O'clock. I'd guess that the harness at the tank selector is what you'd need to rewire. Determine which pair of wires goes to the sender for the tank that you are going to keep and wire those directly to the sender in that tank. In the cab you could eliminate the selector switch in the same way. Should be pretty straight forwards IMO.
