The magazine is seated as I can't pull it out without engaging the release. Again, this only happens during reloads, and I never had this issue with the OEM mags so thins is clearly a fault of the magazine. As such while I've carried the S15 mags in the pistol, my back up mags have remained the OEM ones that came with the gun.

An alternative might be the CR920 which is more like a 43 (no x) but comes with metal mags, one extended. I think that one is fairly new so I haven't seen reviews and I'm not sure about mag compatible.
