Kawasaki vulcan 1500 starting problems.

Cold start problem. Bought an 03 500, 5,000 miles, back in 2011. Now has 15,000 miles, but has always been difficult to start on cold mornings. Had the carbs out twice, cleaned and adjusted, and the engine runs fine. But the enricher (choke) has never worked. The heat problem is the heat that is directed at the rider when in stop and go traffic and the fan comes on. The 2012 Voyagers and Vaqueros have the new KAMS system to redirect the hot air away from the rider.

Show Less .I just purchased a 97 Vulcan 1500 classic, I think I got a great deal, the bike is superb. It just needed a tire, a battery, and I had to fix a minor oil leak. The bike makes a bit of a fuss shifting into 2nd gear, it grinds for a second before finding the gear. Occasionally the shift is smooth, but 9/10 it grinds.
