Cvt whining noise.
Slight whine noise and "shift feeling" at low to moderate speed. Sentra and Versa CVT has a single gear shift that can occur between 20-50 mph, depending on the throttle opening. A slight whine noise during that shift is normal behavior and not warrantable unless it is much louder than a known good vehicle.

I just purchased my Cube. It currently has 450 miles on it. I can not find an explanation anywhere for a whining noise that appears to be coming from the transmission at low speeds. The whining noise only stops when I stop the car and it shifts to the lowest gear.Well, I just changed out the CVT fluid with 3 qts of Honda CVT (dang that stuff is $$$) and the problem is still there. It doesn't whine in Park or reverse only in drive. You can even hear the whine in Drive without moving the car. the CVT. Other than the noise the CVT is still working fine, same as before.
Hi all, My Ascent's CVT whines at all times - no matter if hot or cold - and pretty much at all RPMs (more noticeable above 2k) until road & wind noise drowns it out.
