Hi y'all, I put together a zoom-able web map for theHunter: COTW that can also parse save files to show where user specific needs zones and animal paths are. Take a look and if you have a save file with a Great One tagged let me know?If you're hosting a map and decide you want to change the time give other hunters a heads up in case they are tracking a potential diamond. I usually get on the microphone and let everyone know I'll be changing the time in 30 minutes game time and to let me know if they are tracking a potential diamond or rare and they need more time.I've done 3 HM grinds for Red deer and got 3 GO out of it. Each grind was around 1100-1250 kills. I stacked 21-22-20 lvl 9s on my grinds. Once I killed the last diamond on each grind, my GO showed up at 53 kills, 58 kills and should have been 61 kills but the supposed "reset" messed me up because I shot my stacked diamonds early so I didn't lose them.We are back at the GREAT ONE RED DEER Grind and so far, we are 1,400 Kills in! Not sure how many Stags we are going to have to DESTROY to Spawn the GREAT ON...

Hirschfelden - Beautiful map, first off. However, the foliage density, especially at most drink zones, make this quite a difficult map to hunt. Lots of little hills and dense bushes coupled with the fact that most animals are small enough to be hidden here makes this difficult to hunt most times.
It is different from player to player and will change a bit as you grind, but everyone should have generally the same amount of zones in generally the same spots. Red deer on Te Awaroa have 40-50 zones on a fresh map, though mine are a lot closer to 40 'cause red deer are pretty bad about merging with other zones after you've shot a good amount ... Nearly 200 hours played, level 29, and enjoying it. But something is off with the animal spawning in the area of hirschfelden called Bohndorf Canyon. The in-game narrative says that this area should be crawling with Red Deer - but I have never seen a single one. Seen them aplenty in other parts of the map, though. The species are great, 4 types of Ibex, mouflon, red and Roe Deer, wolves (with some cool missions Involving them).
