(or it was unlocked allready but I doubt it) But the drivers door will not unlock. I tried feeding 12v thru the dome light in the trunk. That only makes the dome light inside the ...ok here is some thing to do you say it cranks over but no start and that you fueled it up before it died. turn on theopen the hood find the fuel rail I have added a picture. there is a small black cap on the rail that looks like a tire cap under that cap is a sharder valve jut like a tire. turn on the key press the valve down and see if gas comes out. there might be a lot or there might not be ... So, in case someone else has this issue here's a brief summary of the symptoms and what solved it! 1- Key won't turn in EIS, door chime works so the car knows the key is in there. 2- Remote won't lock/unlock car, red light flashes and remote batteries are new..C230 remote key issues. My remote keys only lock/unlock when I hold them up to the door handle. They seem to work somewhat better on the pass side, but cant be more that 5ft from the car. Both remotes do the same thing and they batteries are not old. I suspect the antenna for the remotes but dont know where it is.
