Posted October 3, 2017. I recently purchased a new 4T lectron Carb for my spare DRZ400SM. First off it took weeks to get as they were waiting or their new, must have billet throttle tubes. Finally got the carb, looked awesome, install was very easy. It fit better than the OEM carb and we wont even compare fit to an FCR.I read a little about the Lectron Carbs. They're big in the DRZ400 community, about as well mentioned as the FCR39. The self adjusting feature relies on the airflow on the metering rod, similar to that of an airplane wing. The leading edge is rounded, the trailing edge is flat.

2 strokes is what Lectron do best. Yes the YZ is the perfect bike for a Lectron to work well. DRZ's don't do so well with that type of carburetor. Not needed. Most people here that have tried the Lectron on a DRZ soon find the deficiencies and opt for the Keihen FCR carburetor that the performance version of the bike came with.
