Clubs are okay. Csulb likes to keep professors even if they suck, and their reviews are bad, (cheating scandal even happening right now). The csulb president isn't highly regarded imo. Class counselors sucks, I was placed in a wrong class, which required me to stay an extra semester because I missed a prerequisite. Both colleges provide on-campus living options. Although CSUF has the better business program, it's harder than it has to be, and it grades based on a plus-minus grading system where an A- is a 3.7, but an A and A+ are still 4.0. CSULB is better all-around, and it grades with whole-letter grades.

SJSU is a great school and if the cost of living is your main deciding factor, SJSU might be a good choice since you live close. On the flip side, SDSU is a lot more engaging socially and there are definitely tech jobs in San Diego. After being at both schools I definitely prefer SDSU.
