Colt saa grips 3rd gen.
I have several pairs of ivory grips that were made for Ruger XR3's that 'almost' fit some 1st gen SAA's that have smaller gripframes. The shape of Bud's grips also make me wonder if someone made them fit a Colt 1851 Navy. That gripframe is similar to a SAA, but thinner through the mid-section.

After owning many 1st and 3rd gen SAA's, I finally bought a 2nd gen and wanted to share some thoughts on it. Its a early 1956 7 1/2" 45 that is in nice condition. I bought the Colt with a pair of custom Colt supplied walnut grips (gorgeous by the way) already on the Colt and asked for the original grips to close the deal. I would have bought it if he had said no. I guess I might have gotten a pair of 3rd gen grips instead of the originals. Oh well!
