Bofa is better. Zcb and buckler with dragon rubies. Seems like for speedruns tbow is better but for consistency bowfa out shines. You can get pretty insane times with tbow (I have a 1:30 pb with tbow) but with bowfa you're getting more consistent 1:50-2:00 times compared to tbow which can sometimes take up to 2:30-3 minutes.

It takes a very considerable amount of use to "get your moneys worth" out of corrupted bowfa. If you were to theoretically attack something without being interrupted for an hour, you would use 1500 charges, or 15 crystal shards. 2000 crystal shards is well over 100 hours of theoretical use, that's what bowfa costs to corrupt

but yes, without armor bowfa still good, though crossbows can be better (ruby bolts) You can full recharge a crystal set in 4-5 hours of thieving and it'll last you months. I used it for my d pick grind at chaos ele. Went with black d hide and it performed acceptably. Not worth using without the crystal armor brother.
