Dayz has been out for 8 years looks terrible has more of survival stuff fleshed out but Scum looks amazing and has more things to actually explore and has only been out 3 years so hasn’t hit its final form or greatest potential yet, where DayZ is getting tired and really doesn’t have much anywhere else to go without a complete remake IMO.

It's a topographic map, which shows altitudes. If you have a vivid imagination you can picture the landscape and it helps tremendously in navigation and actually remembering the landscape so you won't need a map anymore. I suck at it, but that's the idea behind the white one. 1. true.

If you want to practice PVP the deathmatch servers are a pretty good way to do that, no reason to invest hours into a semi-deathmatch server to get that. However as a shooter game DayZ kinda sucks compared to mostly everything else, the gunplay mechanics just aren't that great (they're not bad they're just not exactly good).Personally, I carry one 2x2 of canned food (usually canned bacon), one soda, and a stack of chlorine all inside a cooking pot. This allows for one back up food if you get low and still can’t find an animal to hunt. One back up liquid for if you can’t get to water quick enough to purify a pot with chlorine.In some sheets you still indicate 45 IRL days for wooden chest to despawn in one you indicate it correctly (and they are all indicated as 1.08). More important, hot food and cooked worms ecc. are NOT pro tip, they are BUGs and they destroy the all weather system in Dayz (hope they will fix soon).
