I think it is because nearly all ghosts speed up in line of sight that u generally break by crouching when looping ghost for example in tanglewood or willows kichen so you experience them at base speed all the time. Was playing Slow and Steady for this week's Weekly Challenge with some friends of mine. I was so amused by the ghost's speed that I tempted fate by staying close to Moroi during a hunt. Hubris got the best of me as I backed into a log and the ghost got me. The one in tanglewood was easy.
