Figure ~4hrs tops to do this if you’re taking your time. I could probably do it in two hours as I’ve done a couple Honda valve jobs.So 0.20-0.24 mm is 1/5-1/4 turn; and 0.28-0.32 is < 1/3 turn. When you do VA, valve is at relaxed state, the stem is at highest position, its rocker arm can move freely without exerting any down force on the valve/spring. After the valve cover is off you must unbolt the rocket arm assembly and spool and lift them both out together. The spool is seal with Honda bond, so this does take some effort. Pilot is '10 with 35K miles and engine has used oil since new. Oil is changed every 4-5K with 5-20 Pennzoil dino and Honda filter. Tried using full synthetic but consumption was worse than dino. Dealer knows about it and says 1 qt/1000 miles is within warranty limits. Share.

Both lobes are on the heel and a few degrees either way won't make any difference, and beside, if you just line it up in the center of the hole it will be right on anyway. There is no magic in a Honda. If there was the mark wouldn't have been machined wrong to begin with. Butch.
